Dinkytown Reunion

More than 100 people turned out to a “Dinkytown Reunion," with many calling for the area to be deemed historic. Members of Preserve Historic Dinkytown hosted the event, in part, to strengthen their case for zoning the neighborhood as a historic place. The event included historical archives, films, and speakers about Dinkytown's history.

At the 2015 Minneapolis International Film Festival a local film maker, Al Milgrom, released a documentary about the 40-day occupation by students in Dinkytown in 1970. They were protesting against the demolition of buildings in the neighborhood. 45 years later, Preserve Dinkytown is still working to protect those same buildings.

Dinkytown Vescio's Announces It Will Close
